Brenda Sechrist of Hillsboro was one of many people giving blood Monday at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church. ?I have given blood three or four times,? she said, ?and I plan on giving more (blood) on a regular basis.? Sechrist said she also wants her children, ages 13, 11, 9 and 7, to see that doing something without getting something in return is a good thing to do. Shirley Kasper and Gladys Funk, co-chairs for the blood drive in Hillsboro, said the goal is 60 units of blood. Both Funk and Kasper have been chairing Hillsboro blood drives for about six years. For those who might have missed this blood drive, but would like to give, Kasper said there are about six drives a year in Hillsboro.
