Two Hillsboro High School students, this past year?s freshmen Nicholas Ediger (left) and Aaron Slater took first place in the structural engineering competition at the national Technology Student Association conference in Denver in late June. Slater also finished in the top 10 in Dragster Design. His car was the third-fastest in the nation. Amanda Roble, a junior, was entered in a couple of events but did not place in the top 10.
