Marion Co. Spelling Bee rescheduled
The Marion County Spelling Bee has been rescheduled to 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, at the Hillsboro High School auditorium. The Spelling Bee was postponed Feb. 6 due to inclement weather.
The public is invited to attend.
Kiwanis Club to meet Feb. 19
The Hillsboro Kiwanis Club will meet at noon Tuesday, Feb. 19 at the city building.
Lunch will be provided by Fat N Sassy BBQ for $7.
Following the normal business meeting, a representative from Main Street Ministries will discuss the operations and mission of the organization. There will also be discussion about the various programs the organization has planned and any needed support to put those plans to action.
Special Ed board to meet Feb. 18
The Marion County Special Education Cooperative Board of Directors will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18 in the Marion County Special Education Cooperative conference room, 302 W. Eighth, Florence.
The meeting is open to the public.
Legion to hold membership drive
The American Legion will sponsor a membership drive at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26 to sign up new members for the Legion, Sons of the American Legion, Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Riders. The event will be held at the Marion VFW Post no. 6958, 420 W. Santa Fe.

4-H fund meeting planned for Feb. 19
The Marion County 4-H Development Fund annual meeting will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19 at the Hillsboro Co-op Office, 135 N. Main.
