DEATH: Carol Yvonne (Tambke) Schmidt, 72

Carol Yvonne (Tambke) Schmidt, 72, a dietary manager of Legacy Park in ?Peabody, died Jan. 8 at her home in Peabody.

The funeral was at Peabody United Methodist Church at 10 a.m. Jan. 12. Burial was at Prairie Lawn Cemetery.

She was born on Oct. 15, 1940, to Arnold and Eula (Hill) Tambke in Deshler, Neb.

Survivors include sons Gayle Bishop and Jona of Goddard, Steve and (Lee) Bishop of Peabody and Mark (Charla) Bishop of Florence; daughter, Vonnie (Arlen) Gfeller of Peabody; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters Marlys (John) Bowman of Ardmore, Okla., Dorothy (Jeff) Marson of Menomonie, Wis., Debra (Gary) Johnsen of Lincoln, Neb., and Mary (Tom) Rust of Holdridge, Neb.; brother Tom (Terry) Tambke of Lincoln, Neb.; step-sisters Trudy Berkey of Belville, Neb., and Karen Dahms of Eagle, Neb.; step-brother Randy McCoy of Eagle, Neb.; and many nieces, nephews; and friends.

Memorials may be made to Peabody United Methodist Church, the donor?s youth group or Progressive Home Health Hospice of Newton and sent in care of Baker Funeral Home, 114 Sycamore, Peabody, KS 66866.
