Enrollment for Goessel coming up

Enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year for Goessel Elementary will take place on Wednesday, Aug 7. Pre-K enrollment will be from 5-6 p.m. followed by grades K-5 from 6-8:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Aug 8, enrollment for K-5 is from 8 a.m.-12 p.m.

Both days will be at Goessel Elementary School.

Parkview Church will be providing supplies

Parkview Church will be providing school supplies for all USD 410 Elementary School students for the 2019-2020 school year.

Group to hold
concert on Wednesday night

“Five Times Harder” will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at First Mennonite Church. The church is located at 102 S. Ash St. in Hillsboro.

Tom serves as pastor at First Mennonite. Tom, his wife Lois and their three daughters will play a variety of musical styles ranging from classical to bluegrass to folk.

There will be no admission charge.

Senator Moran to visit Marion County Friday

Kansas Senator Jerry Moran will visit Hillsboro as part of his Kansas Listening Tour on Friday, July 26. Area residents are encouraged to attend and share feedback with Sen. Moran on the critical issues facing Kansas and the nation.

He will be here from 9:30- 10:30 a.m. at the American Legion Post #366, 405 Floral Drive, Hillsboro.

Parkview and Ebenfeld to offer VBS

Parkview and Ebenfeld churches are partnering together to offer a VBS for children ages kindergarten through fifth grade. The VBS will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. August 5 – 9.

The VBS will be held at Parkview MB Church at 610 S. Main in Hillsboro. The theme is Athens, Paul’s Dangerous Journey to Share the Truth. Register online at vbspro.events/p/a096f4.
