Red Cross Blood Drive on Dec. 21

Tuesday Weisbeck and members of the HHS girls basketball team will be helping staff the next Red Cross Blood drive at Hillsboro City Hall from 12-6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 21.

As an incentive from the Red Cross for the students encouraging donors and staffing the event, the students will earn $10 per pint collected to use for equipment or uniforms for their team.

Please help them make their goal of 60 pints collected to help save lives and help the team earn $600!

Free long-sleeve Red Cross t-shirts will also be given to donors as well as a Hillsboro Sausage holiday meal.

Donating blood has numerous health benefits, including burning 600 calories for one pint donated (equivalent to running three miles)!

Update on Oct. Bone Marrow Drive

Our community is small, however, we can make a huge impact to many. We want to thank everyone who came and supported the Gift of Life bone marrow drive at State Farm. Because we had such a great turnout, someone that was swabbed at this event was matched to a 66-year-old man battling leukemia. You can make a difference—Becky Walsh State Farm
