Goessel Christmas Giving Tree

The Citizens State Bank and the Goessel Ministerial Association are sponsoring a Christmas Giving Tree. This tree will endeavor to help with some of the expenses of Christmas for families in need.

Go to the Citizens State Bank where you can choose a tag from the tree. All the gifts will need to be brought back to the bank by Friday, December 14. For questions, contact the bank or one of the local ministers.

Santa will be at HPL on Dec 15

Santa Claus will be making an appearance from 10 a.m. to noon on Dec. 15 at the Hillsboro Public Library.

There will be candy as well which is sponsored by Eagle Communications.

Durham Christmas Celebration Dec 15

Durham will have a Christmas Celebration on Saturday, Dec. 15. There will be rides, music and food from 5-7 p.m. at the community building.

Senior Angel Tree at Emprise Bank

The Senior Angel Tree at Emprise Bank has many angels left on the tree that still need to be adopted.

Items are due to the bank (wrapped) by Dec. 18 so they can be delivered shortly after.

Santa Claus at HPL on Dec. 15

Stop by any time from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15 at the Hillsboro Public Library to visit and take a picture with Santa Claus.

Candy, donated by Eagle Communications Inc, will be provided.

This is a free event. There will be no professional photographer.

HMHS Christmas Concert Dec. 17

The Hillsboro Middle School and Hillsboro High School Christmas Concerts will be held on Dec. 17 in Richert Auditorium on the Tabor College Campus.

The Middle School concert begins at 7 p.m., followed by the High School concert at 8 p.m.

As part of this community celebration, the choirs and bands are hosting a drive for the Main Street Ministries Food Bank. Audience members are invited to bring an item that evening to help fill the shelves of the Food Bank. Special needs at this time are shelf dairy products, canned fruit, and toilet paper.

Monthly TEEN Meeting Dec. 19

The Technology Excellence in Education Network will hold its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 19 at 6 p.m.

The meeting will be held at the USD 408 District Office at 101 North Thorp, Marion.
