Available Angel Tree Applications

Hillsboro Angel Tree applications are now available. They can be picked up at the Hillsboro State Bank, USD 410 schools and at Hillsboro churches.

The forms are due to Hillsboro State Bank by Nov. 30. They are to be filled out by the person applying and can’t be submitted on another person’s behalf.

Applications and more information are also available online at www.hsbks.com.

Santa Claus coming to Florence Dec 1

Santa will be coming to Florence for his annual Christmas visit at 6 p.m. on December 1 at the Dale Miller meeting room. Kids come visit with Santa and enjoy the refreshments!

Open Prescription Drug Enrollment

The Marion Co Department on Aging will once again be assisting people during Open Prescription Drug Enrollment. The Department will be taking appointments in Marion through Dec. 7 from 8-4:30 p.m.

Please call 620-382-3580 to make an appointment at our office.

Gayla Ratzlaff will also be assisting people in Hillsboro on November 29. Call Hillsboro Senior center (620-947-2304) to schedule on these days.

Ratzlaff will also be in Goessel on November 20. Call the Dept on Aging to schedule these appointments.

Santa Claus in Marion Dec. 1 and 3

Santa will be visiting from 10-11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec 1 at the Marion City Library in the Santa Fe Room. Kids can make a craft while they visit Santa.

Cookies, Cocoa and Christmas Stories while visiting Santa will be available from 6-7 p.m. on Dec 3 also at MCL.

Annual Christmas Home tour in Marion

Marion City Library’s Annual Christmas Home Tour will be from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2.

Homes on the Tour are Ed and Jean Hett at 68 Lakeshore Dr, David and Jami Mayfield at 515 S. Lincoln, Arline and Gina Overton at 126 N. Roosevelt and Kelly and Susan Robson at 811 S. Roosevelt.

Refreshments served at the Marion City Library.

Tickets $5 each may be purchased at the Library or at the homes on the day of the tour.

Letters to Santa at Marion Library

Children bring your letters to Santa to the Library and the elves will deliver them to Santa so he can write you back.

Be sure to have your first and last name and address.

New outdoor basketball courts open

Hillsboro Rec is proud to announce that the new outdoor basketball courts are open and ready for use.

The courts are located in the park near the Scout House.

There will be a grand opening in the Spring when temperatures are warmer.
