MC Lake club

to meet June 12

The Marion County Lake Chat and Dine Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 11, at the North Shelter House. The evening will include outdoor games and fellowship.

Participants are asked to bring a potluck entree to share. Hosts for the evening are Jim and Karen Egts and Jerry and Marjorie Rich­mond.

‘Mad Science’

comes to Marion

Mad Science from Kan­sas City is presenting its science program at 10 a.m. June 14 at the Marion Community Build­ing.

Everyone is welcome. The event is sponsored by the Marion City Library and Tampa State Bank.

VBS starts June 6 at Zion Lutheran

Zion Lutheran Church, 106 N. Lincoln, Hillsboro, is having its Barnyard Roundup Vacation Bible School from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, June 6-10.

Relay for Life planned Aug. 13

The American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Marion County is Aug. 13 at the Marion High School War­rior Stadium.

This year’s theme is “Paint Your World Purple!” We are looking for teams, can­cer survivors, caregivers, and general participants to get signed up.

An informal team captain/participant information meeting is at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, at the Hillsboro Pizza Hut.

Supplies and important information will be available.

‘Yoga for Kids’

class starts soon

Yoga for Kids will begin Thursdays from 10-10:30 a.m. June 23 through Aug. 11 at Marion Community Center.

The class is for children ages 3 and older; those under 6 years old must be with an adult. Parents may also participate with children at no charge.

The cost is $2 per session with group rate available for daycares.

Participants are asked to bring a mat or towel.
