Free child screening Jan. 10 in Hillsboro

Marion County Early Inter?vention Services is offering a free screening for children birth through 5 years old Tuesday, Jan. 10 at the Hillsboro United Methodist Church, 905 E. D St.

Appointments will be available from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. At the screening, development will be checked in the learning, motor, language and social areas. Vision and hearing will also be screened.

This process usually takes at least one hour for a child to complete.

All children are welcome, but an appointment is necessary.

Country Stitchers meeting Jan. 9

Country Stitchers Quilt Guild will meet at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 9 at United Methodist Church, 905 East D St., Hillsboro. Two mini workshops will be featured to include ?Tubing Around,? and Easy Prairie Points.? Guests are welcome to attend.
