Blood drive Dec. 30 at Goessel church
A blood drive is planned from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 30, at the Mennonite Church, 109 S. Church, Goessel.
Everyone who comes to donate will receive a free T-shirt.

A blood donor card or driver?s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Donors must be in general good health, weigh at least 110 pounds and be at least 17 years old, or age 16 with a completed parental consent form.
NAMI to meet in McPherson Jan. 5
The McPherson chapter of National Alliance on Mental Illness will meet at 7 p.m. Jan. 5 at Crossroads Assembly of God Church just south of McPher?son.
Janel Clary, a registered nurse from Prairie View, will speak on ?The Importance of Taking Your Medications.? Clary will be available to answer medication questions.

Frostbite 4-Mile set for New Year?s Day
The Hillsboro Recreation Commission is sponsoring the seventh annual Frostbite Four Mile run/walk at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 1.
The original registration deadline for the event has passed, but enrollment will be accepted up to race time.
Participants should meet at the Hillsboro Scout House located in Memorial Park. The certified course winds through Hillsboro.

Community hymn sing set for Dec. 31
A special community hymn sing begins at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, at the Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church, 300 Prairie Pointe.
The theme for the event is ?Looking Back, Looking Forward,? with Steve Vincent overseeing. Trumpet music will be provided by Lewis Hagen.
