The application deadline for the 2011 Leadership Marion County classes is Jan. 10.
The LMC program, said Cheri Bentz, president, provides class participants with the opportunity to build and strengthen leadership skills while learning more about the county.
?Any Marion County resident or employee of a Marion County business may apply,? she said.
Classes begin Feb. 17 with a visit to Morning Star Ranch in Florence. In the following months, students will visit Burns, Marion, Goessel, Hillsboro, Lincolnville and Tampa and learn more about the county, empowering others, how to bring groups together, making decisions that benefit the entire group and more.
In March, the class will go to Topeka and tour the state capitol and other state agencies.
Tuition is $175, which helps cover materials and program costs, meals, graduation dinner and other expenses.
