An open house marking Arlie Holm?s 80th birthday is planned from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at Galva Senior Center, 218 S. Main St., Galva.
He was born Oct. 18, 1928, in rural Galva. He married Norma Jean Patrick of Marquette in 1949. They have lived in McPher?son County all their lives.
He has worked for National Cooperative Refinery Association, has been a dairyman, farmer and owner and builder of Komfort King wood stoves.
He continues to farm.
The reception is being hosted by his children: RLou Wilson, Tom and Beverly Johnson and Robert and Cathy Holm, all of Galva; Bradley Holm of Gypsum and Ronald and Carol Holm of McPherson.
He has 19 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
