Goessel Goal Getters

n The Goessel Goal Getters met for their monthly meeting at 7 p.m. March 9. The club had some special guests: people from the Peabody Achievers club came over to evaluate our meeting, which is called a model meeting. This happens yearly. Of course, with people watching the club members? every move, they had to be on their best behavior.

One of the topics of most interest was the GGG members who would go to Regional 4-H Day on March 21. Those people are Jessie Perry, Hannah Perry, David Perry, Lauren Hiebert, Olivia Duerksen, Shelbi Stultz, Mikayla Lare, Callyan Lacio, and the goat group, with their play/skit.

Two other items of interest: the club is going to get new T-shirt designs because the current design had been used for three years now; on March 19 there would be another mass project meeting night at the grade school.

It?s basically a time where many projects go to one place and have meetings. This would be the second time this year the club would have one of these meetings.

The program for that meeting was busy. First, the club received the purple seal and had a purple seal ceremony. There was also a ?Character Counts? presentation, which covered fairness. To demonstrate this trait, some members of the club were picked to make a human pyramid. It showed that if you want people to be fair to you, you have to be fair to others.

The talks were: ?Give It Your Best Shot? by Jessie Perry; ?How to Make Granola? by Amanda Bartel (her talk included samples); ?Goat Kidding? by Callyan Lacio, and ?Lights, Camera, Action!? by Hannah Perry.

Once the talks were over, the club selected one person to take a jar of M&Ms home. But, after a few shouts of ?That?s not fair!? everyone got a spoonful of M&Ms.

After that, the meeting was over.
