2020 Prom A Rama on March 7 in Salina

For Marion County students attending prom this year that struggle with the costs related to prom attire, there is a free prom dress and accessories event from 9 a.m.-noon at Christ the King Lutheran Church at 111 W. Magnolia in Salina. The event is open to any high school girl in need of dresses, shoes, jewelry, etc. Donations of these items are being accepted at any Sunflower Bank location in Salina.


Hillsboro FFA hosts pancake feed Feb. 22

The Hillsboro FFA Chapter will be kicking off National FFA Week with a community pancake feed from 6-11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb 22 at the Hillsboro Middle/High School Commons.

The members will be serving all you can eat pancakes with sausage and drink for a suggested donation of $5.00.


Family Olympics to be held on March 6

Marion County Parents as Teachers and Marion County Head Start Preschools will be hosting an evening of come-and-go games and swimming and a pizza supper. It will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on March 6 at the Marion Aquatic Center and Sports Complex at 104 N. Thorp in Marion.

This event is for families with children birth to five years old, but dads are strongly encouraged to take advantage of the special times with their little ones.

Don’t forget your swim diapers, towels and dry clothes. Please leave pool toys at home.

Community Bible Study begins Feb. 20

A community Bible study will begin on Feb. 20.

The study will be on David Jeremiah’s study of angels.

The study will be at 9:30 a.m. in the Hearth Room at 300 Prairie Pointe in Hillsboro.
