CGHS students chosen for KSHSAA Student Advisory Team

Canton-Galva student Lane McMannis has been selected as a new member to the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) Student Advisory Team.

Canton-Galva sophomore Lane McMannis was selected as a new member to the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) Student Advisory Team. Six new members are chosen each year, one from each classification 1A-6A. The members will serve a two-year term on the team.

Part of their job is to provide input to the KSHSAA Executive Board, Board of Directors and Association staff about issues affecting students. The team also serves as a sounding board on proposals affecting students.

KSHSAA encourages each team member to develop a network and communicate with other students regarding advisory team positions and express student opinions relative to the KSHSAA activities, rules and policies.

At Canton-Galva, McMannis participates in varsity football, basketball, track and field. He is a student council member and will serve as Reporter next year for Canton-Galva FFA. Outside of school he is a member of the Kansas High School Rodeo Association and is a member of the Cinch Leadership Team.
