Burns resident to

celebrate 90 years

Gene Obee of Burns is celebrating his 90th birthday from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, at the Burns Community Center.

He was born Oct. 26, 1925, in Lewistown, Mont., and moved to rural Burns in 1934, becoming a lifelong resident. For 30 years, he and his brother owned and operated a trucking company.

Prior to retiring, he then worked 12 years at the Burns Co-op.

He was married to Marie Obee, who died in 1990. They have two children; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
