Sudermans mark 60th anniversary
Joe and Rosalie Suderman celebrated their 60th Wedding anniversary from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 23 with family and friends at a reception at Parkside Homes in Hillsboro.
Joe Suderman grew up in Enid, Okla., and was attending Tabor College when he met Rosalie Dout from Okeene, Okla. She was attending a Tabor event with her church youth group. They were married Aug. 8, 1948, in Okeene.
They spent much of their married life in Texas, where he served as a doctor of osteopathy. He and his cousin Emery Suderman founded the Suderman Clinic, a family practice, in Pharr, Texas, in 1961.
Rosalie Suderman has been a homemaker and mother to their six children: Rachel Stella, Galveston, Texas; Laura Hughes, Charles City, Iowa; Evelyn Hightower, Bartlesville, Okla.; Phil Suderman, Dallas, Texas; Teresa Marple, Woodland, Calif.; and Nancy Kyle, Independence.
The couple, who moved back to Hillsboro in 2001, also have 12 grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
Stevens celebrate 50th anniversary
Dewy and Jane (McCallum) Stevens will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, at the Florentine Building in Florence.
They were married Sept. 27, 1958 in Enid, Okla. The couple have three daughters: Karen (and Don) Willits, McPherson; Cindy (and Mark) Slater, Florence; and Melissa (and Norman) Richardson, Wichita; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
