Klassens to mark 60th anniversary

 

DonLenoraKlassen-anniv.jpg Donald and Lenora Friesen Klassen will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with family and friends.

They were married June 24, 1948, in the Evangelical Menno?nite Brethren Church at Moun?tain Lake, Minn., by pastor William Loewen.

The couple, who reside at 213 S. Jefferson, have six children, 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

 


Friesens celebrate 60th anniversary

 

FriesenElmer&Leona.jpg Elmer and Leona (Cordts) Friesen of Hillsboro celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 29 with family and friends.

The couple were married June 18, 1948, at Buhler (Kan.) Mennonite Brethren Church.

Elmer retired in 1989 from Hillsboro Cooperative Grain and Supply after working there 40 years. He then served as custodian for Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church for 10 years before retiring from the work force. Leona worked as a nurse?s aid at Salem Hospital for 15 years before retiring.

Their children are Dennis and CleoBeth Friesen, Steve and Sandy Friesen, Merle and Cora Friesen, and Kimberly Friesen, all of Hillsboro, and Randy and LaVon Friesen of Maize.

The couple has eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
