Family to celebate 50th anniversary

 

Weinbrenner-now.jpg Weinbrenner-then.jpg Don and Joyce (Stowell) Weinbrenner will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with their family.

Don and Joyce were married June 20, 1959, at Wilson by the Rev. John Kahr.

They have lived on the family farm west of Hillsboro since 1969, where they farmed. Don has a machine shop in Lehigh, and Joyce has worked at Salem Home since 1977.

The couple have four children?Lori and Dennis Funk of rural Hillsboro, Doug and Colleen Weinbrenner of Hillsboro, Alan and Tammy Weinbrenner of McPherson, Bryan and Aimee Weinbrenner of McPherson?and 12 grandchildren.


Riemers mark 50th anniversary

 

ReimerAnniversary.jpg Richard and Marilyn Riemer of Hillsboro, along with their children, hosted a family reunion and celebration of their 50th wedding anniversary June 12, 13, and 14.

A Sunday morning celebration worship service was held at Zion Lutheran Church with Frederick Riemer of Jacksonville, Ill., as speaker and other family members participating.

An afternoon reception was held in the basement of the Zion Lutheran with family and friends.

Children of the couple are Beth and Dave Crouse and grandchildren Jon and Sarah of Lindsborg, Aaron and Angela Riemer of Denver, Colo., and Andy and Angie Riemer of Hutchinson.


Hillsboro couple celebrates 50 years

 

Jost-Aniv-6_17.jpg Jerry and Joan (Mellot) Jost celebrated 50 years of marriage with a small celebration at Memorial Park in Hesston.

They were married June 14, 1959, at Evangelical United Brethren Church, now known as Salem United Methodist Church of Newton.

Both are retired?Jerry from Jost Service Station and Joan as a bus driver with USD 410. They enjoy attending their grandchildren?s sporting events and activities along with traveling, including a recent trip to California.

Hosting the reception were sons Keith and Sharla Jost, and Kent and Diane Jost, and daughter Karen and Sheldon Miles, along with nine grandchildren.
