Voths to celebrate 60th anniversary

 

Voth60thAnniv.jpg Marvin R. and Linda Voth of Goessel will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Sept. 3. A family gathering was held in mid-August to celebrate the event.

They were married Sept. 3, 1947 at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church. For most of their married lives, they farmed in rural Goessel and retired and moved to Goessel in 1994.

They have three sons, Verney and Janice Voth of rural Goessel, James and Gayle Voth of Goessel and Dwight and Jane Voth of Goessel; two daughters, LaVera and James Parker of Buhler and Connie and Kent Stucky of rural McPherson. They have eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.


 

Sondergards to mark 65th year

 

Alfred and Darlene (Helbach) Sondergard of Ramona will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with a private family dinner on Sept. 15.

They were married Sept. 6, 1942 at the home of her parents.

He served in the Navy during World War II, and until his retirement, he owned and operated Sondergard Garage in Ramona. Along with being a wife and mother, she served as bookkeeper, parts runner and partner in the family business.

Their daughters are Karen and Bob Ehrlich of rural Marion, Marilyn and Jim Peterson of Burdick and Kaye and Earl Risser of Hope. The Sondergards also have eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
