Waners plan 60th wedding reception
Vernon and Henrietta (Stika) Waner will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Marion VFW Post, 420 W. Santa Fe, Marion.
The couple were married Nov. 14, 1951, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Pilsen.
Hosting the reception will be the couple?s children: Dave and Tena Waner of Marion, Craig and Carol Leppke of Hillsboro, Darrell and Holly Waner of Derby, Mike and Tina Waner of McPherson and Steve and Traci Waner of Marion. The couple also have nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Hillsboro couple to celebrate 60th
Raymond and Aldina (Flaming) Franz of Hillsboro are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary Nov. 11.
The couple were married at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church in Goessel Nov. 11, 1951.
For more than 50 years, Raymond was owner and operator of Ray?s Thriftway, now Dale?s Supermarket, in Hillsboro. Aldina is a homemaker and has been active with the Hillsboro Arts and Crafts Association for 15 years.
They have two sons: Larry and Sue Franz of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Dale and Melanie Franz of Hillsboro.
