Open house slated for Hieberts? 50th
Allen and Lois (Frantz) Hiebert are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 23, in the Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church Fellowship Hall, 300 Prairie Pointe.
They were married May 25, 1963, at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro with pastor John Ratzlaff officiating.
Allen taught chemistry at Knox College in Galesburg, Ill., for 16 years and at Tabor College for 23 years, retiring in 2007. Lois retired from the Tabor Historical Library in 2006.
Their children are Mark and Sandra Hiebert of Whitewater, Wis., and Julie and Stac Unruh of Haven. Grandchildren include David and Stephanie Hiebert and Kaitlin, Thane and Natalie Unruh.
A family trip is planned to Mackinac Island, Mich., in July.
Hillsboro couple to celebrate 67 years
Friends of Raymond and Eunice (Jan?zen) Matz are invited to send cards of congratulations on the occasion of their 67th wedding anniversary.
The couple were married June 22, 1946, at First Mennonite Church in Hillsboro.
They have four children: Rick and Ruth of Wichita, Ray and Pat of Olathe, Reg of Hillsboro and Eydie and Mike Fellows of Newton; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
