Hillsboro couple celebrate 50 years

Norman and Rosella (Ediger) Epp of Hillsboro are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception hosted by their children.

The reception is from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 7 with a short program planned at 2:30 p.m. in the Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church activity center, 610 S. Main, Hillsboro. All family and friends of the couple are invited.

The Epps were married Aug. 4, 1961, at Henderson Mennonite Brethren Church in Henderson, Neb.

After they were married, they spent two years doing Christian service in Newfoundland, Canada. They then moved to Wichita and lived there for several years where Norman was a school teacher. In 1975, they moved to the family farm in rural Hillsboro and Norman owned Epp Roofing and Construction. Rosella worked at the Tabor College library for 29 years. In 2004, they moved to their current home on Floral Drive in Hillsboro.

Family members include Lois and Craig Wollman and daughters Bethany and Andrea of Menno, S.D.; Karen and David Franklin and children Caleb, Harrison and Laurel of Wichita; and David and Jenny Epp and son Lincoln of Hillsboro.
