Fenstermachers to celebrate 60th
Robert and Helen (Ediger) Fenstermacher are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary with a come-and-go card shower from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, July 18, at the Hillsboro Senior Center, 212 N. Main St., Hillsboro.
They were married June 30, 1951, at the Reedley Mennonite Brethren Church in Reedley, Calif., and moved to Hillsboro in 1995.
He is retired from Bank of America as a lending officer and a retired pastor to senior adults from various churches, including Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church. He enjoys translating the New Testament from Greek to English and writing commentary on the passages.
She is a retired registered nurse and Tabor College alumni. She enjoys quilting and specializes in handkerchief quilts.
The couple?s children are hosting the celebration and include Barbara and Jim Villanueva of Henderson, Nev., Mary and Ben Steketee of Hillsboro and Sam and Carol Fenstermacher of Camas, Wash.
They also have seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited.
