Herbel anniversary set for Dec. 30
Willis and Eleanor (Wein?brenner) Herbel will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, at Hillsboro Senior Center, 212 N. Main St.
They were married Dec. 26, 1962, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church in Goessel.
The anniversary celebration is being hosted by their children and grandchildren. They are DeLayne and Christine Herbel, Landon, Erich and Carson of rural Lehigh; Kevin and Paula Herbel, Aaron, Danea, Joshua, Caleb, Jacob, Karina, Jeremiah, Calabria and Isaiah of Durham; Todd and Kristi Krispense, Kolton, Konrad, Klayton, Kordell, Kaitlyn and Karalyn of Marion and Jon and Ashlee Herbel, Elena, Taelin and Nathan of Salina.
The family is requesting no gifts.
Hillsboro couple to celebrate 50th
Don and Connie Isaac of Hillsboro are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, in the Parkview Mennonite Church Activity Center, 610 S. Main St., Hillsboro. A brief program begins at 3:30 p.m.
They were married Dec. 28, 1962, in the Bethany Mennonite Brethren Church, Fresno, Calif.
After serving as business manager of Fresno Pacific College for 14 years, Don became chairman of the Tabor College Business Department for 24 years. His wife is in her 19th year as director of the Lifelong Learning program, also at Tabor College.
Their children are Christy and Lance Zimmerman of Reedley, Calif., and James Isaac of Wichita. They have six grandchildren.
