Hillsboro couple to celebrate 65 years

Hein Anniversary - ThenEdward and Margaret (Ruby) Hein of Hillsboro will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary by going on a trip with their three children and spouses.

The couple were married Aug. 10, 1948, at the Marion Evan?gelical-United Brethren Church, which is now Eastmoor United Methodist Church.

They have farmed together southeast of Hillsboro since then and remain on the farm they bought when they got married.

Hien Anniversary - NowTheir children are Karen and husband Greg Jaworsky of Newton; Jan and husband Jim Britton of Denver, Colo.; and Dean and wife Beth of Hillsboro.

They have eight grandchildren: Brian (Amanda) Jaw?orsky and Staci (Mike) Morales, all of Newton; Jennifer (David) Josselyn and Jeff Britton, all of Denver; Jared (Jacinda) Britton of Salt Lake City, Utah; Erin (Mike) Mader of Hillsboro; Justin (Allison) Hein of Manhat?tan and Christy Hein of Hills?boro.

They have 13 great-grandchildren.

McLindens plan to celebrate 50th

McLinden AnniversaryDick and Patty McLinden of Marion will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a buffet reception from 4:30-7:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 24, at Holy Family Catholic Parish Hall, 417 N. Cedar St. in Marion.

They are the parents of Chuck McLinden and wife Lori and their children Lauren and Jarret of Marion; and Susie Morton and husband Craig, and their daughters Regan and Jordan.

The couple requests only your presence for buffet and reminiscing.

Bitikofers to mark 65th anniversary

Bittikofer AnniversaryThe family of Leroy and Doris (Selzer) Bitikofer is planning a 65th wedding anniversary open house from 2-4 p.m. Satur?day, Aug. 10, at the Canton Community Center, 100 S. Main.

The Bitikofers were married Aug. 24, 1948, at Spring Valley Mennonite Church, Canton. He is a retired farmer and worked at Hesston Corporation before retiring. She worked as a cook at Shiloh Manor, Canton.

Their children are Dwight of St. Louis, Mo., Dennis and wife Mary of Canton, Leta Kremser and husband Lloyd of Cata?wissa, Pa., and Gary and wife Laura of Crestview, Fla.

They have nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Friends and family are invited to the event.
