Couple plan 50th anniversary event
Stanley and Ruth Hodson Reed of Marion are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in Seabrook, S.C.
They were married April 7, 1962, in Wichita. Following military service, Stanley was a defense consultant and later as superintendent of the Kansas Soldiers? Home in Fort Dodge, where he retired in 2000.
She was a nurse practitioner and retired in 2009.
The couple have four children. They include Kristina and husband Rodger Menezes and their children Lindsey and John Luke of Miami, Fla., Jana and husband Alfred Marogil and children Paige and Adam of La Grange, Ill., Justin Reed of New York, N.Y., and Leslie and husband Troy Byriel and daughter Chloe of Miami. Another child, Stacy Lynn Reed died in 1970.
The couple will celebrate with their family June 4 for the anniversary of their marriage on April 7.
Woelks celebrate 60th anniversary
LeRoy and Marcella (Schmidt) Woelk of Goessel celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with family April 1. The couple married April 3, 1952, at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church near Goessel.
The couple has three children, Bryce and Kathy Woelk, Debbie and Harris Ewert and Kelvin and Jen Woelk, and two grandchildren, Amanda and fiance Chris Wood and Michael and fiancee Krysta Yutzy.
Hillsboro couple celebrate 50 years
Clifford and Mardell (Wolff) Carlson of Hillsboro celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family.
They were married March 25, 1962, in Wakeeney.
Clifford worked most of his years with NCR, also known as National Cash Register, and she was a medical transcriptionist.
Their children are Kaylene and Ronald Mueller and Scott and Nora Carlson and grandchildren are Nicholas Mueller, Darren Mueller, Bret Mueller; Sean Carlson, Jennifer Carlson.
