Peabody couple to celebrate 50th
O.W. (Bill) and Ruth E. Weber Demain will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the Peabody Senior Center, 106 N. Walnut, Peabody.
They were married April 27, 1963 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 909 S. Market by pastor L. H. Deffner. Bill spent his working years in various police and security jobs. His wife spent 50 years in communications.
Both retired from Shangri-La Resort on Monkey Island, Okla., in 2003. At that time they returned to make their home in Peabody.
The Demains had three children that include daughter Wendy Todd of Bellingham, Wash., son Daryl (deceased) and Linda of Mulvane and son Doyle and Sharon of Augusta. They also have 17 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren with two expected this summer.
