Goertzen to celebrate 50 years of marriage

The community is invited to a 50th Anniversary come and go reception for Peggy and Gaylord Goertzen from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, 2019 (brief introduction of family at 3:30) at the LJ Frantz Heritage Room (formerly Wohlgemuth Lobby) at Tabor College, Hillsboro, Kansas.

Peggy and Gaylord were married August 9, 1969, at the Bakersfield MB Church in Bakersfield, California.

They have four children: Erica and Shane Clark, Phil and Tonya Goertzen, Will and Abi Goertzen, and Amy and Jeremy Jordan. They have 15 grandchildren Maggie, Noah and Ava Clark; Grace, Jake, Micah, Jenna and Andrew Goertzen; Hannah and Isaac Goertzen; and Alice, Elsie, Sadie, Virgil and Lucy Jordan.

Koslowsky celebrate 50th Anniversary

Ken and Carla Koslowsky will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 27. They were married on June 27, 1969, at the Ebenfeld Mennonite Brethren Church in Hillsboro.

After their wedding, they served 2 years in the Congo with Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) before returning to Hillsboro where they’ve been ever since.

They owned the Dari-Ette Drive In for 4 seasons in the 1970s. Ken co-owned Hillsboro Hardware and Carla worked for Dr. George Ens M.D. and Christian Destiny, Inc.

They have one daughter, Diana, of Lawrence, KS.
