Litkes celebrate 70 years of marriage

Virgil and Phyllis (Wiens) Litke, rural Marion, are grateful to the Lord as they celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary with family.

They were married June 15, 1948, at Ebenfeld Menno­nite Brethren Church, rural Hillsboro.

Together they have enjoyed a lifetime of farming as well as traveling 40-plus years as Litke Products.

Their children include the late Sharon Litke, Glenn and Sheila Litke, rural Hills­boro; Brenda Jordan, rural Marion; Sid and Pris­cilla Litke, Port Washing­ton, Wis.

They have been blessed with nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.


Hillsboro couple to celebrate 72 years

Raymond R. and Eunice (Janzen) Matz of Hillsboro are celebrating their 72nd wedding anniversary,

They were married June 22, 1946, at Hillsboro.

Raymond was owner of Matz Upholstery for 61 years and also a rural mail carrier. Eunice was a secretary at USD 410-Hillsboro for 26 years and later served the Hillsboro Senior Center for 15 years.

The couple has four children: Rich and Ruth of Wichita; Ray and Pat of Olathe; Reg of Hillsboro, and Eydie and Mike Fellows of Newton; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
