Roy A. Van Buren, 73, Hillsboro, died on Nov. 29, 2020, due to complications of Covid-19.

His family will gather with friends on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church at 300 Prairie Pointe, Hillsboro.

Memorial contributions in Roy’s name may be directed to Assemblies of God One Hope, providing Bibles to children around the world in care of Yazel-Megli Funeral Home at 902 E. D Street, Hillsboro.

He was born Feb. 16, 1947, in Junction City to Earl and Alice (Pilgrim) Van Buren. He married Cheryl Lieurance on April 10, 1971, in Wichita.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl of Hillsboro; his sisters, Anita Galbraith of Defiance, OH, Jan (Mike) Erpelding of Crete, NE, Khrista (Rick) Branson of Ashland, KS; mother-in-law, Delores Lieurance of Wichita and several nieces and nephews.
