12th Annual Marion County Alternative Gift Market will be on Nov. 12

The 12th annual Marion County Alternative Gift Market will be from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. on Nov. 12 at the Marion Community Center. The Alternative Gift Market is a wonderful opportunity to learn about projects around the world and locally that relieve poverty and suffering. The twenty-one international projects range from providing water wells in South Sudan to Ukranian refugee relief. The five local projects are Main St. Ministries, CORE, FACT, Safe Hope, and the Marion Co. Food Bank.

Each project will display hand-made ornaments and gift cards, which are available for donation to give as a humanitarian gift in honor of a friend or loved one. Just like traditional gifts, Alternative Gifts express affection, celebrate occasions and show you care but are gifts that have a profound impact on those who are less fortunate, both in Marion County and around the world. Shop alternatively and give Gifts that help change the world! Items from Trades of Hope, free trade coffee and baked goods from Tuesdays Baking Co. will also be available.
