About 45 people from Hillsboro and Marion turned out for the annual CROP?Walk around Marion County Lake Sunday afternoon. The purpose of the event is to raise funds to feed hungry people both locally and around the world. Organizers Donna Kreutziger of Marion and Darlene Bartel of Hillsboro reported that walkers raised around $3,000, with more money still to be collected. Up to 25 percent will be designated for the Marion County Emergency Food Bank.
