Two county college students receive Quail Forever scholarships

The Marion County Quail Forever Chapter presented scholarships to area students Lucas Larsen and Cole Svoboda (fourth and fifth from left, respectively) Aug. 7 at Marion Pizza Hut. Pictured with them are (from left) Dale Ehlers, Helen Reznicek, Ty Wanter and Bill Shirley. Larsen is a sophomore at Butler County Community College, where he is pursuing a degree in wildlife biology and a minor in wildland fire science. Svoboda is a senior at Kansas State University majoring in wildlife and outdoor enterprise management. The scholarship is named in memory of John F. Reznicek. Helen Reznicek attended the event to present the students with the scholarships.
