State teams to be feted at Centre homecoming

Centre High School plans to honor two of its past teams during the annual homecoming celebration Friday, Feb. 7.

In addition to the traditional crowning of a campus king and queen, the school will recognize the 1984 girls? state championship track team, along with coaches Doug Sidener, Stan Wiles and Deb Wiles.

Between the girls? and boys? varsity games, the 1979 boys? state third-place team will be honored, along with coaches Russ Goering and Larry Smith.

The king and queen crowning will occur at halftime of the boys? varsity game.

?It should be a fun, exciting and memorable even?ing,? said Greg Wyatt, athletic director. ?We invite everyone to come and join in an evening of remembrance and celebration.?
