Sly fox doesn?t escape photographer?s lens

WaltonFoxcrop.jpg Hillsboro photographer Phyllis Richert captured this shot of a red fox pausing along the railroad tracks near Walton on Saturday. ?We were driving home from the ACCK track meet, just leaving Walton when we noticed this fox, who appeared to be hunting something in the area between the highway and the tracks at the bottom of the embankment,? Richert said. ?We turned around at the historical marker in that little park area to go by again. The fox was still there so we pulled off the road and I shot from within the van. He realized we were there and turned to run up the embankment and paused near the top?just long enough that I could fire off two shots. Then he disappeared over the tracks.?
