Ramona plans haunted event for Oct. 26-27

Ramona?s sixth annual haunted barn and hayrack ride will take place from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Oct. 26-27.

This is the largest haunted experience ever created in the Ramona area.

DL Concession will be at the pick-up and drop-off location, so come early and eat supper.

Guests will be taken to the haunted barn via a hayrack ride that will pick up passengers at 100 Avenue and 370th. Another way to access the location is at Rain Road and Sunflower Road. The ride will take 10 to 15 minutes; guests are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather.

Admission is $3 for adults and kids age 12 and older, $2 for children age 6 to 11, and free for children age 5 and under. Children under age 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

Directions to the hayrack pick-up location are: from Ramona, go east on 360th to Sunflower, turn north to 370th; from Herington, go to 500th Avenue to Rain Road, then go south to 100th Avenue; from Marion, take U.S. Highway 77 north to 360th and turn west, proceed to Sunflower and turn north to 370th.

The event is sponsored by the Ramona Park Improvement Committee; all proceeds will go toward improving the city park.
