Marion woman escapes personal injury in two-vehicle accident in Wichita

A Marion woman escaped injury in a two-vehicle injury accident that occurred at 3:45 p.m. Oct. 13.

Josephine A. Good, 59, of Marion, was driving a 2007 Toyota eastbound on Kansas Highway 254 east of Hydraulic Street in Wichita when a Wichita man traveling westbound drove through the median, into the eastbound lane, and sideswiped the Toyota.

After hitting the car, Seth Thomas Myers, driving a 1996 Honda Accord, then swerved back through the median, crossed westbound traffic, struck a Kansas Department of Transportation sign and drove through a KDOT?fence before finally striking a tree.

While Good was not injured in the accident, Myers was taken by ambulance to Via Christi-St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.

Both drivers were wearing a seat belt. Reports of citations or estimated damage were not available.
