Eliza Apple Bennett, Marion native, graduated June 25 from the University of Wisconsin Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program in Madison, Wis.
She received an award, the AAGL ?Special Resident in Minimally Invasive Gynecol?ogy,? which recognizes exceptional laparoscopic surgical skills.
Bennett has accepted a position as associate professor with the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, working in the obstetrics and gynecology residency program.
As a member of the general obstetrics and gynecology team, Bennett provides comprehensive gynecological and reproductive care, including basic health care during pregnancy, family planning and counseling, routine exams and specialized gynecological care and surgery.
Bennett is a 1997 graduate of Marion High School, a 2001 graduate of the University of Kansas and a 2006 graduate of University of Kansas School of Medicine. She is the daughter of Margaret and Harry E. Bennett of rural Marion.
