Participants circle the Marion Public Library as part of the celebration marking five years of service in the former railroad depot. Creating the circle of supporters was intended to demonstrate how community friends have had helping hands and have embraced the library, according to librarian Janet Marler. Participants also retraced the human book chain that transferred books from the old library to the depot five years ago. The evening also celebrated the conclusion of the library?s summer reading program and included a magic program featuring Rob Holladay.
