Livewires Empire Best 4-H Club gives update

The Livewires-Empire Best 4-H club held its monthly meeting at the Marston’s house in Canton August 12th, 2018. The meeting was called to order by President Cash Toews. The Flag Salute and 4H Pledge were then given. Roll Call was answered to “What is your memory from this year’s fair season?” 10 members, 2 leaders and 7 parents & guests were present at the meeting. Next was the officer’s report, Treasurer report was given by treasure, Sage Toews. Members also discussed what they have done during the last month with their 4-H project.

Plans for the upcoming donor dinner set for October 21st were discussed. Record book and Pin applications are due at the Sept. 23rd meeting. Members are encouraged to complete at least one record book for their projects. October 1st will begin re-enrollment for the upcoming 4-H year. National 4-H week is October 7-14th

Other upcoming events were discussed:

– Kanas State Fair September, Hutchison 7th-16th

– Kansas Junior Livestock Show, Hutchinson October 5th – 7th.

The meeting was then adjourned and the club repeated its motto “To Make the Best Better”

After the meeting all members enjoyed swimming followed by a pot luck dinner.
