More than 40 American Legion Riders from 12 groups across Kansas were mobilized in less than 24 hours to offer their support to honor fallen U.S. Marine Aaron Laramore, 23, of Parkville, Mo. The funeral was Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Peabody, where family and friends gathered to pay their last respects to Laramore. Following the one-hour funeral, the motorcyclists then proceeded to Prairie Lawn Cemetery. The riders not only provide security and support to families and community members at military funerals, but they also take part in parades, motorcycle events and other activities. The riders are members of the American Legion, the Legion Auxiliary, and Sons of the American Legion.
