Getting ready for games Sunday at the annual Santa Fe Trail Fest in Tampa were Addie Berens, (background), Max Svoboda (middle) and Kyle Peterson. Carole Spohn, one of the organizers, said that along with the horse racing, the younger children could take part in a leaf toss, watermelon crawl and seed-spitting contest. Alex Hajek and Darren Mueller, both of Tampa, were also on Main Street demonstrating roping skills, and Leroy Schmidt of Hillsboro brought his mule team for those wanting to enjoy a free old-fashioned wagon ride. For those who didn?t want to brave the cold temperatures, the Tampa Senior Center offered cake walks, crafts, baked goods, musical entertainment, sing-a-longs, karoke and more.
