4H-Development-Council330.jpg The annual 4-H Developmental Council hog giveaway raised $828 for organizational project during the Marion County Fair in late July. Goertzen Farms and Citizens State Bank donated the hog. The meat processing was donated by Peabody Sausage House. The development fund goes toward scholarships for Marion County 4-H youth to attend college and to attend Rock Springs 4-H Camp. One half of the hog was awarded in a drawing to Todd Heitschmidt, Marion, and the other half to Doug Kjellin, Marion.
