Five members of the Hillsboro High School FFA chapter participated in the Job Inter?view and Ag Com?muni?cations career development events in Arkansas City Feb. 6.
Kyle Unruh and SaRae Roberts participated in the Job Interview contest. Contestants had to prepare and submit a cover letter and resume prior to the event.
At the contest members completed a job application, interviewed with a business person and then wrote a thank-you letter. Unruh placed third overall and will advances to the state competition. Roberts placed ninth.
Hannah Bartel, Jordyn Siebert and Riley Loewen competed in the Ag Commu?nications event. Bartel wrote a press release. Siebert prepared a 60-second video and Loewen designed a poster.
The topic for the event was the global food system.
Bartel placed seventh overall, Jordyn was second individually and the team placed second overall.
