Hillsboro Chess Guild competes at Wichita event

Seven of the students placed among the top 10 in their respective grade divisions.

?Overall, it was a huge success for the Hillsboro Chess Guild,? said Leah Rose, sponsor.

The top-10 finishers were Zachary Denholm, who placed sixth in the third-grade division; Jacob Denholm placed eighth and Abby Fryhover ninth in six-grade; Jonathan Hinerman placed fifth in seventh grade; and Jordan Fryhover was second, Matthew Denholm fifth and Kalen Moss seventh in 10th grade.

Also competing for Hills?boro were Barron Talbott in the second-grade division, Kayla Gunn in seventh and Trace Jost in eighth grade.
