HHS to present ?Willy Wonka Nov. 8-10

Hillsboro High School will be presenting the musical ?Willy Wonka? Nov. 8-10.

Roald Dahl?s timeless story of the world-famous candy man and his quest to find an heir comes to life in this stage adaptation of ?Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.?

Cast members include senior Daniel Nelson as Willy Wonka, freshman Dylan Nelson as Charlie and junior Tanner Sechrist as Grandpa Joe.

Other leads include Molly Wiebe as Mrs. Bucket, Graham Pankratz as Mr. Bucket, Peyton Loewen, Danae Bina and Clay Etheridge as the grandparents, Josh Richert as Phineous Trout, Kate Litchfield as Mrs. Gloop, Jordan Fryhover as Augustus Gloop, Daniele Melton as Veruca Salt, Stephen Brazil as Mr. Salt, Riley Loewen as Violet Beaure?garde, Claire Heyen as Mrs. Beauregarde, Julie Sinclair as Mike Teavee, and Bailey Kauf?man as Mrs. Teavee.

Tickets are $5 and can be reserved beginning Monday, Oct. 29, by calling the high school office at 620-947-3991.

In conjunction with the musical, one child basket and one adult basket will be given away at intermission of each performance.

Coupons for Wonka Bars will be sold the night of each performance for $5 each. At intermission, you will trade your coupon for a Willy Wonka Bar, and Willy Wonka himself will lead all in unwrapping their bars.

Two Wonka Bars will have Golden Tickets inside the wrapper. One winner in each category will receive a basket worth more than $70 in prizes, including food certificates from Panda Kitchen, Pizza Hut, Wendy?s, Braums, Tabor College Cafeteria and the Twisted Cow, movie passes, gas cards from Ampride and more .
