The Hillsboro High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America Knowledge Bowl team attended a leadership conference in Anaheim, Calif., July 9-14.
?Fifteen teams from across the nation competed in the FCCLA knowledge bowl,? said Monica Leihy, adviser. ?Hills?boro competed well, but did not make it to the finals.?
The team members were Alyssa Bettles, Ashley Bartel, Ashlyn Simmons, Emily Hoskinson and Aubrey Meier.
The theme of the conference was ?Imagination in Action.?
In addition to participating in the sessions, Leihy said, the Hills?boro group visited Hunting?ton Beach, Disneyland, Holly?wood Walk of Fame and Pirates Adventure dinner theater.
?It was an awesome adventure and a cultural experience,? she said.
