A young fan listens to the band Justus perform during the first Goessel Harvest Festival on Saturday. Good weather, good food and good music helped make the event a success, according to event sponsors Rod Franzen and Anita Goertzen. The festival was sponsored by the Goessel Task Force. Franzen and Goertzen they were pleased with the crowd that showed up to enjoy the festivities. ?Everyone who had a booth was pleased with the turnout,? said Goertzen. ?Keith Banman of Keith?s Foods, served hamburgers and brauts and he sold out of hamburgers before the evening was over.? Franzen announced during the break that he would like to see this become a time for class reunions to plan on meeting and he hopes to expand on the festival next year. He also thanked all the people who helped make the event possible.
